About Kamlesh Saxena

(As provided by the artist)

Kamlesh Saxena

Kamlesh Saxena started his art journey from his childhood, he sketched, explored various mediums and craft as a kid. Growing up, he graduated in fine arts(graphics) from IKS University, Chattisgarh and after working as an artist and designer for around five years he did Masters in Design from IIT-Bombay. He believes about art being a way of life and wishes to grow old with it. Working as a Usability Analyst he is still passionate about painting and paper craft, and stays connected with his teachers.

About his Work

Kamlesh loves exploring relationships between nature, society and individuals, he brings out these dynamics as conversations using multiple mediums such as Pastel, Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil and Printmaking. He believes that a painting also paints the painter and the relationship between art and artist is truly symbiotic and one cannot sustain without another. In a world which is rapidly getting mechanized and attention spans becoming shorter day by day art needs to find a place as a basic social necessity
He also loves exploring visual theatrics, through paper sculptures and Architectural Origami, which gives him joy and opportunity to connect with the younger audience.

    Here’s further to the article

Kamlesh comes from a family that was not impoverished but had limited means. He had a number of responsibilities to fulfill apart from nurturing his dream. What kept him going can only be attributed to his passion for art. The Journey was full of obstacles, resources were limited but he achieved what he deserved. His biggest achievement has been his humbleness, which he didn’t give away to success. Moreover, one can’t have an assessment of his past struggle, as he never painted a gloomy picture.
As a brother, am proud of him and wish him all the very best in Future.
